Principal's Welcome

Welcome to St Kieran's Catholic School.  As a school, we have a wonderful spirit that is felt from the minute you walk onto our school grounds and realised when you meet our kids and staff. As a community we work hard to maintain a happy and engaged community where each person is valued.

We appreciate and encourage strong parental involvement in the life of our school as parents are the first educators for their children and are part of our community.  I believe that children achieve their true potential when parents
feel comfortable and are an active

part of school life.

Each of us has different gifts to share and this enriches our school and benefits each individual - both adult and child. Staff at St Kieran’s are happy and open in their sharing with parents. In the partnership of parents and teachers we readily acknowledge parents as the senior partners and we are pleased to share with you any aspects of what we are doing as well as how and why. We have a strong commitment to communication with the home through newsletters, and parent/teacher Information evenings.  Our school community prides itself on being familiar with each member and being attuned to the individual needs of others.

St Kieran's is a school built on the traditions of the Sisters of St Joseph over 30 years ago, enriched with a strong catholic identity and mission which shapes how we care for each other and act every day.  As a school we have a 21st-century outlook, using data-driven practise,  best teaching pedagogies and the Australian curriculum it really is a school of choice.  It is a school that aims for excellence in academic endeavour, physical and spiritual.   In this light, the school fosters an extensive academic programme, with the additional Christian teachings as the subject religion and in partnership with our local parish, Good Shepard. Educating our children is a collaborative, comprising parents, teachers, administration staff, church and community - and we aim at assisting children of all Christian denominations and those finding faith for the first time.

I look forward to establishing a long and happy association with you as we work together to educate your child spiritually, academically, physically, socially and emotionally.   Please feel welcome to look around our new website and come for a tour and feel the St Kieran's Pride.

Best wishes,

Claudine Dank
